Q: How long have you been drawing?

A: Since I had to take pre-algebra. Six years.

Q: Did you ever go to any art schools?

A: I'm currently studying film at NYU. Don't know if that really counts though ;O

Q: What materials did you use?

A: Photoshop and a wacom tablet. Other than that, plain old sketchbooks.

Q: What was your inspiration?

A: I get my inspiration from a lot of things. Video games, movies, childhood daydreams, but most importantly, music.

Q: How long did it take to do this?

A: Around three to four days of screwing around.

Q: Do you do this digitally or naturally?

A: It's all digital.

Q: Where do you see your artwork in the next five years? (As in concept art, advertisements, museums/ exhibits, auctions, posters, etc.)

A: I've done a lot of work already for Garage Games, and I would expect to see more of my work as game conceptart or actual 3D meshes/texture assets in the future.

Cool...

Except I think Photography isnt allowed in the Art Portal... I wont tell, I'm just sayin, you might not wanna do too many of these. But still really cool.

MoriChax responds:

"A photograph of a sculpture, painting, or some other piece of art you have made are in fact exceptions to this rule."
So it's not a problem.

WoW! Really cool!

Is this a <a href="http://www.quizilla.com/user_images/D/DarkAngel42/1087049135_night_elf.jpeg">Night Elf</a> or a <a href="http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Blood-Elf-Wallpaper-world-of-warcraft-267531_800_600.jpg">blood elf?</a> Or is it not part of WoW at all?

Either way, I really think its cool. And, although I dont really agree with Legola88 and his opinion, he is entitled to it, and if you want to try and redo it like he suggested, then here is a suggestion of my own. Try doing it in color, and dont worry about using different shades of color, you can always go into photoshop and use the burn and dodge tools.

mrbob0822 responds:

This isn't actually from the World of Warcraft. It originally started out as a Dungeons and Dragons campaign. My friend generated a female elf with a massive sword and a huge attitude.

Eventually the campaign became so entertaining I turned it into a webcomic, but disbanded it about a year-and-a-half ago due to a lot of factors. You can find Reliquary here:

As for color, thanks for the suggestion. I've learned to try and avoid dodge and burn for anything more than minor "bumping", as they tend to provide a less than desirable effect when compared to a well thought out palette.

Thanks for the positive feedback though! Always a pleasure to hear.

Its not pixel art...

Pixel art is a sprite. You can make them with Game Maker 7.0 which is downloadable at yoyogames.com. Its safe, dun worry, I actually have the pro version too. But anyway, its good. Next time, try doing your own style instead of sketching it. I often to sketches like that where I have the actual picture next to me, but I'll usually draw it slightly different. For me, it'll look like it's transformed into a version thats about of 5% manga, and then the rest is an Anime/Sketch/American Cartooning and a bit of my own touches, all mixed together into one. All of that make up Ceth's Drawing Type.

Mr-Molotov responds:

1. This is MY style.
2. There's no anime in this image.
3. Who the fuck is Ceth?!
